Since 1983, Lachine Rapids Tours is an affiliate of WildernessTours, Canada's first and largest whitewater rafting firm, operating on the Ottawa River for over 30 years. In Montreal high powered jet boats, capable of carrying up to 50 passengers per boat, take locals and visitors on a thrilling, scenic and unforgettable ride through the only rapids on the St. Lawrence River, which are right in downtown Montreal. Guides on board relate the historic beginnings of the french explorers and the building of the St.Lawrence Seaway. The company is also the creator of WHIRLPOOL JET on the Niagara River at Niagara Falls, offering a similar jet boat tour from Niagara-on-the-Lake. (For information, call (905)468-4800). Also available is our high speed chase boat ride Jet St.Laurent. This tour is a facsimile of the world famous Shotover Jet ride in New Zealand. High speed banks and 360 degree turns give everyone the feeling of being in a boat chase in a James Bond movie.
LOCATION AND CAPACITY:
All tours are located in the Old Port of Montreal, the most visited tourist area in the city just minutes from the subway and all the major hotels in the downtown. Our first and most popular tour, jetboating the rapids, departs 5 times per day, every 2 hours from 10AM to 6PM at the Clock Tower Pier. All departures should be confirmed by phone. 140 passengers can be accommodated per trip, bus parking is available. Morning and evening departures are available with lunch or dinner.
The speed boat trip Jet St. Laurent leaves from Jacques-Cartier Pier every half hour form 11AM to 7PM (capacity 24 per departure). Please confirm by phone daily operations.

Receive the standard 20% discount on most departures. One complimentary per 20 paying is provided. Bus drivers are always complimentary, depending on space available.
